Activities planned for the month of August:
1. Qualitative survey of waste in the college.
2. Quantitative analysis and statistical representation of the types of waste.
To qualitatively analyze the kind of wastes present in our college.
Once the different kinds of bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste generated in the college are determined, we will proceed to quantitative estimation of each category of waste.
The biodegradable waste can be processed for composting whereas the non-biodegradable waste can be recycled, wherever possible.
The quantitative analysis can be represented statistically so that it can be easily interpreted by the students and other members of the college.
This trash analysis will be a realistic picture of the different kinds of waste and the dangers related to them.
The attempt to motivate everyone to be wise when it comes to waste management is still on. We hope to make the students and staff of the college realize the need for a litter-free planet and we wish to begin at our college.
