Faculty of Arts

Inception and Growth

The Faculty of Arts was established in the year 2011. It started with a modest batch of 24 students offering an undergraduate three year BA programme with Mass Communication & Journalism, Political Science and Modern language as core courses. At present, Faculty of Arts offers BA programme with Mass Communication & Journalism, Political Science and Economics as core courses with a sanctioned strength of 60 students. The salient feature of the infrastructure of Faculty of Arts is the industry standard Mass Communication Studio and an editing suite. It provides students with hands-on experience and the skills needed to work in the industry. Many students of the Arts participate enthusiastically in various events of the college and also in those organized by several other colleges and institutions across the country. They have also won recognition and appreciation for their talents at many such events. Field Visits, Industry visits, attending talks and seminars is the strength. Faculty of Arts produces the college's quarterly newsletter and a quarterly news bulletin which are their best practices.
