Department of Management Studies

The Department of Management Studies was established in the year 2002. The Department offers two years’ Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with an intake of 120 students,affiliated to Osmania University (OU) and duly approved by AICTE and also a three years’ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA) with an intake of 120 students, affiliated to Osmania University from the academic year 2011-12.A new programme BBA (Honours)Business Intelligence & Analytics has been introduced with an intake of 60 students from the academic year 2023-24. The main objective of the department is to train students on latest management concepts and equip them with interpersonal and communication skills to become effective managers and entrepreneurs. The MBA programme is divided into four semesters offering specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Systems. The teaching methodology is through classroom teaching, seminars, group discussions, role plays, case studies and management games using blackboards, smart boards, LCD projectors and computers. In order to have a practical approach, students regularly visit local industries and also go for week-long industrial tours. Industrial interaction is encouraged by regular visits to the industry and by inviting corporate experts to the department for seminars and lectures. The department organizes orientation programmes, workshops, symposia and management meets for the benefit of the students. The BBA programme is divided into six semesters offering specializations in Finance, HR and Marketing. The major areas/subjects covered under the programme are Business Economics, Accounting Principles, Finance, Marketing Management, Business Law, Human Resources Management and Computer Fundamentals. Our students have participated in various events conducted by different colleges and brought laurels to the college. Students from the department were placed in reputed organizations year after year and have significantly added value to corporates in India and abroad.
